Birding w/ Michele Morningstar

June 14 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

Are you interested in birds and birding, whether they’re in your own backyard or those that you happen upon while out on a walk? Or maybe bird song and baby birds? Have you ever seen a bird flutter its wings to another bird as if begging for food? If those kinds of things spark your interest, please join Michele Morningstar on Saturday June 14th at 11am and/or Tuesday June 17th at 6pm at the Sayre Library, 122 S Elmer Ave, Sayre, PA 18840 for a presentation on all of the above!
Michele will provide information about a statewide project called the Pennsylvania Bird Atlas (PBA3), the cool tools to help record bird sightings and how you can get involved. And if you are interested in helping document breeding birds in the state, Michele is coordinating a birding event in and around the Valley the weekend of June 28-29, 2025. Everyone is welcome whether you are a beginner birder, a skilled ear birder or beginner atlaser. The information gathered for the PBA3 will provide critical data about the birds that not only inhabit our state year round but more importantly those that come here to breed and fledge their young during the summer months!
We hope you will join us in the birding fun!
