October 23 @ 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm

Local Presidential historian Michael Sisto will present a program titled “Death, Sickness, & the Graves of U.S. Presidents.” Based on his own extensive research and cross-country travels to the burial sites of U.S. Presidents, Sisto’s presentation will give listeners insight into the often strange and always fascinating circumstances of the deaths and burials of some of our past leaders, including George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, and Theodore Roosevelt. Sisto will present photographs of both Presidential burial sites and related artifacts while providing enlightening background information about the lives and deaths of some of our lost Presidents.
Presidential historian Michael Sisto has lived in the valley for thirty-six years; he graduated with a degree in History from Mansfield University with a focus in Presidential History. He then obtained his Masters in Museum Studies from Johns Hopkins University. He currently works at the Roberson Museum in Binghamton. For as long as Mike can remember he has had a love for all things Presidential; he has gone to numerous Presidential sites, homes, museums, birth places and has seen twenty-six of the forty Presidents’ grave sites.
