Introduction to Ancient Egyptian Hieroglyphics w/ Lisa Baker

Write (and read!) like an Ancient Egyptian! Join local Art Historian Lisa Baker for a brief introduction to Ancient Egyptian Hieroglyphics. The class will learn to translate the Ancient Egyptian Hieroglyphic sounds/symbols to their matching English sound/letter. All participants will have a chance to learn how to translate these symbols and draw their own names using about 30 of the more than 700 known symbols. Ages 10 and up.
Lisa has a Master’s Degree in Art History from Binghamton University, and studied with Egyptologist, Professor Gerald Kadish during her time there.
