Read Across America/Dr. Seuss Event

 Join us to celebrate reading in our lives, as well as the best-loved author Dr. Seuss. We will spend a day hosting themed crafts, games, guest readers, and month-long reading challenges. Come dressed as your favorite character from a book and celebrate the joy reading brings us all!

Read Across America is a week-long event from March 2nd to 6th, which celebrates and promotes literacy beginning on the birthday of Dr. Seuss. Promoted and formed by the National Education Association, Read Across America works to promote reading, literacy, and civics across America, particularly for youth.

On top of our day dedicated to this event, the library will also offer a week of in-house activities and drop in events. We’ll have book review activities, book anatomy and design 101, book ‘tastings’ (try a new flavor of literature!), stories you can listen to, and a read to an adult/stuffed animal activity!
